It’s not every day that the streets of London are graced by a procession of kings, adorned in the finest regalia of their heritage. But on 31st August 2024, the iconic Tower Hill bore witness to something truly special. A stylish disruption unfolded as a diverse group of men, representing the vibrant cultures of African nations and the Afro-Caribbean community, gathered for the 6th episode of Elevate Your Style. From Nigeria to Ghana, Zimbabwe to South Africa, and many more, these men showcased the traditional fabrics and designs of their homelands, from bold kente and regal agbada to elegant kaftans. This was no ordinary fashion gathering—it was a statement of identity, community, and pride, powered by Twelve19styles.

In September 2023, a spark ignited a movement that would bring fashion enthusiasts from diverse backgrounds together to create meaningful change. This was the birth of Elevate Your Style. What began as a simple idea quickly blossomed into a vibrant platform where individuals could express their passion for fashion and cultural pride.

From the bustling streets of Bristol to the lively city of Manchester, the tour captured the hearts of many. Each stop was a celebration of style and community, culminating in a grand finale in London. This final event marked the end of an exhilarating summer journey, with over 250 people expressing their interest in participating.

The London hangout kicked off at Mask London, one of the city’s finest restaurants, renowned for its exquisite African dishes and fine dining experience. After a delightful meal, the group made a memorable procession to the historic Tower Hill Bridge, symbolizing the unity and cultural richness that Elevate Your Style stands for.

The day itself was a vibrant fusion of bold fashion and African heritage, honouring Black excellence and celebrating self-expression. Participants donned outfits that were not merely clothing but symbols of creativity and cultural identity.

Several fashion brands played a pivotal role in bringing the event to life, with notable contributions from 101 Clothings, HxK, and Fresh by Dotun. These brands offered a modern twist on Afrocentric designs, blending vibrant agbada, kente patterns, and Ankara fabrics with leather to create cutting-edge, futuristic looks. Each ensemble worn by the attendees made a powerful statement, celebrating both ancestral heritage and modern innovation. The men who took part strutted with confidence, embodying the strength and resilience of their forebears.

However, Elevate Your Style was not only about aesthetics—it was a movement of empowerment. As the day turned into a lively after-party, one thing was clear: Elevate Your Style was shaping the future of fashion, one gathering at a time.

For those who missed this edition, fear not—the next event, scheduled for December, promises to be even more spectacular. Prepare yourself for another chance to elevate your style!
